Explore back 2014/11/26 Are you aware of SVHCs? SVHCs (Substances of Very High Concern) is a term one must be familiar with if one wishes to supply products to the European Union. SATRA’s website provides a comprehensive article outlining its SVHC list and REACH regulations.Paragraph below is extracted from the original article:“REACH – Substances of Very High Concern“The main focus of the European REACH regulation is to provide better control on chemicals which are harmful to human health and the environment. Chemicals are divided into two groups for consideration of the regulation: ‘substances’ and ‘preparations’ (a mixture of substances). However, there is an additional class of product, referred to in the regulations as ‘articles’ – a category which includes apparel, equipment, furniture, toys and footwear. Suppliers of articles have a set of obligations under the regulations which are different to suppliers of substances and preparations. While there is no need to register substances in articles, there is a requirement to pass on information about the presence of chemicals which are under investigation. These are referred to as ‘Substances of Very High Concern’ (SVHCs).”The original article was written by John Hubbard and can be found here:http://www.satra.co.uk/spotlight/article_view.php?id=420List of SVHCs, a total 155 chemicals from the ECHA website: http://echa.europa.eu/candidate-list-table*Images courtesy of Motley Green HIGHLIGHTS 2021/02/01Where You Can See Globle-Tex _ Jun Issue 2020/08/31Where You Can See Globle-Tex _ Aug Issue 2020/07/20Where You Can See Globle-Tex _ Jul Issue 2020/03/31Where You Can See Globle-Tex _ Mar Issue 2019/12/30Where You Can See Globle-Tex _ Dec Issue DATE <November 2014> SunMonTueWedThuFriSat262728293031123456789101112131415161718192021222324252627282930123456
